The Government of Australia is going to change the rules associated withACS [AUSTRALIAN COMPUER SOCIETY] Recently, there has been an update from the ACS Skill Assessment Authority. The new ACS migration skills assessment is going to launch in March 2024. So, if you are a Data Scientist or an IT Engineer willing to migrate to Australia, you need to be aware of this new rule.

ACS has realised the need to improve the speed and simplicity of the ACS Migration Skills Assessment. The new and updated assessment application portal will offer a simpler assessment process and greater applicant support. The new streamlined application process will be effective for the new applicants.
Now, you can have a look at what the new ACS Migration skills assessment will offer:
1.It can produce faster results for the submitted applications.
2.Improved guidance throughout the application process.
3.Applicants may be able to apply for up to three ANZSCO codes for one fixed price.
4.An applicant can track the progress of the application process on the easy-to-use application dashboard.

NOTE:It is time to take a look at the consequences of the changes in ACS.

What you have to do quickly:

1.Finalise your assessment and pay the application fee by March 18, 2024, AEDT (Australian Eastern Daylight Time), Monday.
2.The second option you have now is to cancel your old skill assessment process and apply through the new ACS Migration Skill Assessment process.
Applicants who wish to reapply for a skills assessment can do this through the new ACS Migration Skills Assessment.

UPDATES:

Starting March 2024, the ACS Skills Assessment for ICT professionals will see some important changes:  

  • Fees Increase: Expect higher fees from March 18, 2024. Complete your application soon if you’re already in process​​.
  • New Process: A streamlined application system launches in March 2024. Apply before the deadline to avoid the new fees​​.
  • More ANZSCO Codes: You can choose up to three ANZSCO codes for one fixed price, offering more flexibility​​.
  • Guidance for Current Applicants: If you’ve already started your application, make sure to finish and pay before the fee increase. New applicants should wait for the new process​​.
  • Improved Portal Features: The new portal promises faster outcomes, more options, clearer guidance, and instant updates​​.
