These terms apply when you use the Melbourne Telugu Network website, create a membership, post content or list a business. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Who can join
Membership is free and open to adults aged 18 and over. You must give accurate information when you register and keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
Community conduct
Be respectful. You must not post or send content that is unlawful, abusive, hateful, harassing, misleading, sexually explicit or that infringes anyone’s rights. You must not use the site to send spam, scrape member details, impersonate another person or promote scams. We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
Content you post
You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you give Melbourne Telugu Network a non-exclusive licence to display it on the site and in our social media for the community. You confirm that you have the right to post it, including any photos of other people.
Classifieds and business listings
Classified ads and business listings are provided by members. We review submissions but do not check, endorse or guarantee any seller, service, price or claim. Dealing with another member is at your own risk. Please check details yourself, ask for references where it matters and do not send money to someone you have not verified.
Staying safe
- Meet in a public place when you meet someone for the first time.
- Keep personal and financial details private until you trust the other person.
- Report suspicious posts or messages to us through the contact page.
Events and external links
Events are run by Melbourne Telugu Network or by other organisers, and details can change. Links to other websites, including Instagram and Facebook, are for convenience. We are not responsible for their content.
Our content
The site design, text and logos belong to Melbourne Telugu Network or its contributors. You may share links to our pages, but you may not copy substantial parts of the site without permission.
Our responsibility
We run this site with volunteers and try to keep it accurate and available, but we cannot promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of the site or from dealings between members. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
Closing an account
You can ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
